journey: me February 8, 2009

I was asking God tonight “who am I” as I looked back at my life the past few months and here I am, unable to sleep, filling out who I am. What are the things that define me? My looks? My personality? My faith? My future career (let’s hope not that one because I have no idea where I’m headed)?

My name is Rebecca Christine Janz and I am 20 years old. I am studying counseling at Summit Pacific College in Abbotsford, BC, Canada (4th year). The thing I love about counseling is seeing the potential in someone/a situation and calling it out, helping that person to realize it and encouraging them to move in a direction where that potential is reachable. The other thing I love about counseling is none of it is up to me – it’s all up to God to make the changes (my belief – not necessarily the general consensus).

There is lots to get to know about me! I’m kinda quirky, picky about weird things (like milk products), afraid of strange things (like ducks, geese and goats) and I like Star Wars way more than the average 20 year old girl. I get excited by little things like eating pie and having an idea to play kazoos in four part harmony.

I think the most important thing to know is that I love. I love deeply and passionately and loyally. Once I love you it doesn’t really stop.

So there it is. A few things that make up Becca Janz.

you didn’t really do yourself justice in your self-description…there’s a lot more awesomness to you…
